What does
uplifted information capability
look like?

"Uplifted information capability" means people can do more with knowledge.

The Farmer, The Manufacturer, The Transporter and the Retailer:
  • Manages their data well, preferably using digital systems

  • Knows how to apply their data for sustainability assessments and reporting

  • Understands how information flows through their value chain

  • Understands sustainability topics* well enough to have more beneficial interactions with others in their value chain

  • More empowered to make decisions that improve their sustainability and profitability

The Banker:
  • Understands the sustainability footprint of their portfolio

  • Knows how to collaborate with their customers to improve sustainability and profitability

  • Knows how to apply their data for sustainability assessments and reporting

  • Understands the power dynamics between parties and works towards mutually beneficial solutions

The Researcher
  • Knows how to present research to maximise understanding and action

  • Manages their intellectual property and supporting data well

  • Understands the technical readiness level of their research, and has a plan for maturing it

The Software Provider
  • Incorporates sustainability and agricultural research into their products in a scientifically valid way

  • Collects user data securely and privately

  • Puts guardrails in place to stop unwanted identification

  • Builds products that support time-poor Farmers

  • Sets up their products for interoperability with other digital systems

How do we
lift
information capability up?

We identify where the flow of knowledge is blocked and do whatever it takes to get it flowing again.

That could be one-on-one consulting, setting up collaborative initiatives, writing documentation, developing digital tools or even opening up Excel and doing some heavy data entry.
